Overview:
Community Services

COVID-19 has made life difficult for all of us, but our BIPOC refugee and immigrant communities were hit the hardest.

In response to our community’s growing needs, we are partnering with the City of Seattle and other community-based organizations to get vital resources, rental assistance, and other opportunities to families in need.

 offered services:

  • Housing Support:

As neighborhoods changes all over King County, it’s important that we know our rights as tenants and where to turn for financial support during hard times.

  • Tenants' Rights Support

The WACC tenants’ rights provide renters the support to navigate tenants' rights in King County through one-on-one assistance, advocacy, education, and trainings. Our community driven workshops ensure tenants understand their rights and are not being taken advantage of by landlords.

Our staff members regularly inform program participants through home visits, one-one-support, bi-weekly workshops about renter’s rights, rental options, and information to navigate housing resources in King County.

  • Economic Displacement Relocation Assistance (EDRA)

The City of Seattle’s EDRA program gives income-qualifying tenants that have received a 10% or more rent increase the chance to apply for money to help move/relocate.

This resource is only available for Seattle residents only.

  • Immigration Relief Funds:

If you’re going through an Immigration process that requires application fees and expenses, we have resources for you to consider.

  • King County Immigration Fee Support

The King County Immigration Fee Support is $5,000,000 of funding to help King County immigrant residents apply for documented status and citizenship by providing financial support for fees associated with the immigration process
